Like we can’t just blame Maxis or EA for “making a pack no one wants,” when it was literally chosen and built up by the community. Even the aesthetic was voted on.Īgain, as someone who didn’t vote for laundry day I understand the frustration but at the end of the day it was quite literally voted upon at every step of its development from the choice of the pack to its name, aesthetic, and what was in it. There were brief descriptions/Infographics of the general idea behind each where solar panels were at least mentioned for eco living stuff (which I remember because that’s why I voted for it).Īnd then there were a following series of polls over the course of I wanna say a few months that went over choosing the name, build/buy, and cas that would be in the pack.

I know this for certain as I voted and I’ve never had a Twitter.

The poll was not only available to registered Twitter users. I have so much through Steam because this level of issues with EA was frequent and old news over 10 years ago. So I download a bundle of Sims 3 plus pets and after I got expansion packs I couldnt see my registration code. I wholly recommend Steam (or basically any other platform) over directly purchasing from EA. people have complained for years that the dlcs are so expensive and that there are so many of them. Not that Steam support is great, but they actually solve your issues, instead of telling you to just rebuy things. If there were ever a problem, I would talk to the Steam support. Between Sims 4, Sims 3, and a few other EA titles I have well over $1000 of content. On the other hand, I'm never worried about Steam losing my games / packs.

It feels like EA is salty about crawling back to Steam (and other platforms). Mini-tutorial: how to get rid of this annoying screen and keep using Origin: Open C:ProgramDataOriginlocal.xml in notepad. Going back to Origin is harder with Steam, and may not work after you've set it back up.

Steam players can't play offline at all - thus since being forced to the app we must always update right away to be able to launch the game. It takes several tries to launch the game on any random day. On the one hand, the EA App is worse on Steam than all you guys have been complaining about.
